Terms of Use – Rent To Go

Last Updated: 24 October 2026

In Plain English

RentToGo is a free directory. We show vehicles that independent rental shops offer and help you contact them.

We do not own the vehicles, take bookings or take payment. Your rental agreement is with the shop, on their terms, and you pay them directly.

Check the vehicle, its papers and the shop's terms yourself before you pay anything.

1. Who we are

RentToGo ("RentToGo", "we", "us") runs the website renttogo.in and the RentToGo apps (together, the "Platform"). We are based in Surat, Gujarat, India. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. What the Platform does

The Platform is an online directory of vehicle rental businesses ("Vendors"). It shows listings of bikes, scooters, cars and other vehicles that Vendors offer for rent, with the prices and details they give us, and lets you call or message the Vendor. Some listings are added by our team with the Vendor's permission; others are added by Vendors themselves and checked by us before they appear.

RentToGo does not:

  • own, operate, insure, maintain or inspect the vehicles listed;
  • take bookings, reserve vehicles or guarantee availability;
  • collect any payment, deposit or fee for a rental, or act as an agent for either side;
  • employ Vendors or their drivers, or take part in the rental agreement.

3. Your rental is with the Vendor

Any rental is a contract between you and the Vendor. The Vendor sets the price, deposit, documents required, fuel, kilometre limits, cancellation and damage terms. You are responsible for reading and agreeing those terms with the Vendor, checking the vehicle and its documents, holding a valid driving licence for the vehicle, and following traffic law.

Vendors are responsible for their vehicles being roadworthy, insured, and registered and permitted for hire as the law requires (for example under the Rent a Cab Scheme, 1989 and the Rent a Motorcycle Scheme, 1997). Where a listing says we have seen a rental permit, that only means we were shown one; it is not a guarantee.

4. Never pay in advance to someone you have not verified

RentToGo never asks for payment and never asks you to pay a Vendor through us. Fraudsters sometimes copy listings and ask for an advance by UPI. Do not send money before you have seen the vehicle and the person you are dealing with. If something looks wrong, report it to us and to the national cybercrime helpline 1930 or cybercrime.gov.in.

5. Listing information

Prices, photos, availability and other details come from Vendors and may change or be wrong. We try to keep listings accurate and remove listings we find to be false, but we do not promise that any listing is complete, current or accurate. Always confirm with the Vendor.

6. Reviews

You may write a review after confirming your mobile number with a one-time code. Reviews must describe your own genuine experience, must not be written by or for a Vendor about their own business or a competitor, and must not contain abuse, personal information about others, advertising or anything unlawful. We check reviews before they appear and may refuse, hide or remove any review. We do not pay for or edit reviews.

7. Support chat

You can chat with our support team without an account. Do not share passwords, card numbers or one-time codes in the chat. We keep chats to answer you and to deal with complaints about listings.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Platform for anything unlawful, or to defraud anyone;
  • copy or scrape listings or contact details in bulk, or use them to send unsolicited messages;
  • interfere with the Platform, its security or other people's use of it;
  • impersonate RentToGo, a Vendor or anyone else.

9. Our responsibility

The Platform is provided "as is". Because we are not a party to any rental, we are not responsible for the conduct of Vendors or renters, the condition or legality of any vehicle, or any loss, injury, damage, fine or dispute arising from a rental. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything to do with the Platform is limited to ₹1,000. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that the law does not allow us to limit.

10. Reporting content

If you believe a listing, review or other content is false, unlawful, infringes your rights or should not be on the Platform, contact our Grievance Officer at [email protected] with the listing code or page link. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days, and act faster where the law requires.

11. Changes

We may change the Platform or these terms. The date at the top shows when the terms last changed. Using the Platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Surat, Gujarat have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have as a consumer to bring a complaint where you live.
